The Green Party believe in equality and diversity. People count and we have no time for racism, prejudice or even favouritism because we believe that we should not be chosen simply based on race, disability or gender.
But if you thought Gordon Brown's gaffe was bad last week - just wait till you see Richard Edmonds'.
The former National Organiser for the BNP was spotted canvassing in Dagenham last week, flooding the street with filthy lies. When a woman told him she wouldn't vote BNP, he was caught on film spewing racist filth:
"Silly ******, aren't they? Maybe she's got a black kid, you see? That, I think, is always the explanation around here. Once they go with the..." it gets worse and then it continues "Wicked, horrible, stupid. I've seen it many, many times"
We ask you 'what will happen if the BNP gets an MP?'
We would like to treat the UK population as one population, not black, white etc. It should be like this, and of course it is not always, but we will pledge to work with everybody to make our society more equal.
We stand for a fairer society, and making the green option the easiest and cheapest one is part of that. We think ‘Fair is Worth Fighting For' on many issues including:
Community - Greens campaign to revitalise our communities and want to save public services from cuts.
Education - We would ensure education is free, including school meals.
Environment - Greens will make it easier to recycle and compost household waste and help you reduce your waste.
Transport - We will prioritise schemes for pedestrians, cyclists, bus and rail travel.
Health - Greens want publicly run care that is properly funded, free at the point of use for all.
